Response to September Blog #1

Everyone sees lions as couragious, brave and strong, the kings of the animal kingdom. Not to brag or seem full of myself but i was once the strongest, bravest and most couragious lion known to South Africa. However, even the most trusted animal in the kingdom has his down side. My story isn't like other lions' stories where their downfalls are minimal and their comebacks are extreme and dramatic, I went from being the most powerful creature to the most humble feline. My father was my biggest inspiration, my idol, the way his majestic mane flew in the warm South African breeze and he strolled carelessly through the shrubs and tall grass. Before I became the king, my father was the second king to this kingdom after my grandfather. They were the ones that inspired many other animals and showed how to really take control of this kingdom. Everyone enjoyed living in the kingdom because of how well it was being taken care of. Unfortunately both my grandfather and father the only family i had left have been taken away from me. The most tragic part of this was that with my own two eyes I saw my two last family members lives being tortured and killed right in front of me. Not only did I lose the only two family members left in my life, but i also lost my devotion to this kingdom. Now that everyone expects me to fallow the steps of the last two kings I dont think I will be able to accomplish this. But then again I need to do this for the whole animal kingdom and for my grandfather and father. Knowing that they know i can be a great king to this kingdom and to continue the tradition of being in charge of this animal kingdom in South Africa.
